As we move into the second half of the year, we’ve been reflecting on the trends, challenges and opportunities that have shaped the events industry so far in 2026. At Tigerlike Events, we’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients across corporate events, conferences, networking events and brand experiences, giving us a unique insight into what’s driving the industry right now.
One of the biggest shifts we’ve noticed is the growing demand for experience-led events. More than ever, our clients are looking to create events that leave a lasting impression rather than simply delivering information or hosting a gathering. Attendees want engaging experiences, meaningful interactions and memorable moments, and businesses are increasingly recognising the value of investing in these areas.
Technology has also continued to play an important role throughout the year. We’ve seen a significant increase in conversations around AI, event apps and attendee engagement tools. While technology isn’t replacing the human element of events, it is helping organisers deliver more personalised experiences and gain valuable insights into attendee behaviour and event performance.
Sustainability remains a key consideration for many of our clients. From venue selection and catering choices to reducing printed materials and event waste, organisations are actively seeking ways to make their events more environmentally responsible. We’ve seen sustainability move from being a “nice-to-have” to an important factor in the planning process.
Budget management has also been a recurring theme throughout 2026. While businesses continue to recognise the importance of face-to-face engagement, there is understandably a greater focus on ensuring events deliver measurable value. Clients are increasingly asking how events can support wider business goals, whether that’s strengthening relationships, generating leads, improving employee engagement or building brand awareness.
Another trend we’ve experienced firsthand is the rise of smaller, more targeted events. Many organisations are moving beyond a single annual event and instead creating a series of more focused experiences throughout the year. These events often provide greater opportunities for meaningful conversations, stronger networking and deeper audience engagement.
Looking ahead, we expect to see continued growth in personalised event experiences, increased adoption of event technology and a stronger focus on community building. Businesses are recognising that successful events aren’t just about bringing people together for a day – they’re about creating lasting connections that continue long after the event has finished.
At Tigerlike Events, we’re excited to see how the industry continues to evolve and we’re looking forward to helping our clients embrace new opportunities in the months ahead.
